Portraits

Portraiture is the only form of photography that Lee Miller continued to practice until the end of her life. Many of the portraits were intended for Vogue magazine and others were shot in anticipation of press use to promote exhibitions often curated by Roland Penrose at the ICA, London. Some were simply an expression of the friendship that existed among this group of people.
