As a source of motivation Lee has inspired artworks, fashion, journalism and the freedom for all to become whatever they aspire to. Both Lee Miller and Roland Penrose encouraged young and emerging artists through advice, financial support and organising exhibitions. Lee was also known to take young women ‘under her wing’ acting as emotional support and guiding them through their own journeys.
Lee and Roland’s son Antony began the archives after Lee’s death and as it took shape from a husband and wife team it has expanded to a team enabling publishing, exhibitions, and even visits to Lee and Roland’s Sussex home to people worldwide.
