Description Mary Anita Loos was an actress and niece of the screen writer : Anita Loos Robin Fedden was a writer and a poet who lectured in English Literature at Cairo University. He wrote widely on many subjects including skiing, which may have given Lee the idea for this photograph. They found the skis would not slide on the sand, and both the experiment and the photo session were cut short by the sudden appearance of an asp, (probably Cerastes Vipera) a venomous snake whose camouflage allows it to hide on the sand.
