Published on the occasion of the exhibition of the same name held at CNA (Centre National de l'Audiovisuel) in Luxembourg in 2011. This beautifully illustrated publication shows Lee Miller’s photographs of a country “where civilians and soldiers meet in a sort of no man’s land“, and sheds light on a particularly interesting phase of this conflict, which bears witness to a time of transition, a phase referred to - even during the First World War - as the”Étape”, a period that has not been the subject of much research in Luxembourg’s historiography.
