Join us for this Author Talk at West Dean College featuring Ami Bouhassane granddaughter of Lee Miller. The evening includes a delicious buffet of dishes from Ami's book Lee Miller: A Life with Food Friends and Recipes, prepared by West Dean College's Head Chef Dan Frowen.

Lee Miller - Model, surrealist and war correspondant

Lee Miller is best known for her groundbreaking fashion and WW11 photography, but, until now, only those who knew her best have known about her passion for cooking and entertaining. Talk by Ami Bouhassane

Discover the story behind the book in a talk by author, Ami Bouhassane, the granddaughter of Lee Miller and Roland Penrose. Much more than a recipe book, it explores Lee Miller's life through the influence of food and Ami will reveal some of the stories behind the dishes.

Ami is Trustee of the Lee Miller Archives and Co-Director of the organisation that manages the Archives, The Penrose Collection, and Farleys House and Gallery. She will be taking questions from the audience after the talk. Books will be on sale and a book signing will take place.

Surreal and sublime buffet

At this special event you will have the chance to feast on some of the delicious and eclectic dishes made with recipes from the book (see menu below) prepared by Head Chef, Dan Frowen in consultation with Ami. The buffet is included in the ticket price.

Doors open at 6.30pm, talk starts at 7pm and the event finishes at 9.30pm.
